It's SO important to learn how to read labels!

Food labels are complicated and are designed to trick us. Their focus is selling, not informing.

That's why I created Informed Eating Academy. Bringing you the knowledge that you deserve in order for you  understand food ingredients so that you can make more informed decisions  towards your health, without giving up your favorite foods.

In the U.S. alone there are 100's of different words used for sugar, there are over 2,000 additives added to our foods that are approved  by the FDA under the "natural flavors" umbrella, that haven't been reviewed since the 60's or 70's.

🍋 Hundreds of different words are used for sugar on our food labels

🍋 Thousands of chemicals have been added and are used in our food system

🍋  Many  items in your pantry likely contain ingredients that you may be trying to avoid.

Learning the fundamentals of the food label is key to making choices toward a healthier you. The food label was designed to make consumers more informed. The problem is, that manufacturers want to sell their products, so their marketing tactics tend to confuse consumers. Because most people don't know how to read nutrition facts, they base their purchases on the front of a package. When you learn how to read labels, you start making choices based on knowledge, not selling points or wild guesses.
